Foolish truths

Why do programmers always get Christmas and Halloween mixed up?

Because DEC 25 = OCT 31

This joke brought to you courtesy of the Fool's Gold, the joke and puzzle-filled newsletter Cliff Johnson puts out while he's writing The Fool and his Money - the follow-up to the Fool's Errand, which is probably my favourite computer game ever, out of the ten computer games I've ever liked. Lovely tarot-style illustrations inspired by the Rider-Waite deck, which is what I always think of Tarot looking like, though there are prettier decks and decks that resonate more with me.

there: art, humour and a plug

I loved Fool's Errand. I played Tarok using that puzzle for years afterward until finally it was unplayable on modern OSs. :-)

I never did finish it! I can run it on my PC, but there's one puzzle I just can't solve because the mouse moves too fast!
