Compensating with cosy

Simon is off to San Francisco for Dreamforce and I've tucked myself back up in bed with tea and porridge and knitting and the first Tamora Pierce book in a series and KFOG on the radio for bay area ambience (although I keep singing 'Dream operator' lyrics from True Stories whenever they play 'Head full of doubt' (someone called the Avett Brothers KFOG tells me...)

I have a ton of work to do and meetings to see people at next week and while in a perfect world I'd be either at Dreamforce or D:Mobile and then in New York for the annual predictions dinner, I'm also rather keen to just hibernate for a while and I'm going to do that today before I start doing some work. I still have most of the first season of ER to watch on DVD, and now that I found the draught excluder I'm knitting I can work on that (and wonder why I have three different sizes of needle in the stitches - 4, 6 and 8!). But I still expect I'll say something to Simon several times a day before I remember I need technology for him to hear it ;-)
