The H: the browser has a long way to go

That's not me with my usual view that actually, I rather like rich applications instead of wimpy Web applications; it's my interview with John Lilly, the CEO of the Mozilla Foundation about HTML 5, the future of the browser and why open standards mobile Web browsing isn't the guaranteed future. Favourite quote from a really interesting conversation (that also strayed into business models and 'what is a career these days'): either
"This headline rush to the cloud is beautiful for some things and misguided for other things".
"I think that Eric Schmidt and Vic Gundotra [of Google] overstated when they said "the Web has won". I felt it’s the American picture of George W Bush on the aircraft carrier with the banner saying 'mission accomplished'."
