Florida; least bittern, twice shy

Actually the bird we saw by the convention centre was probably a short tailed hawk. We also saw... Indiana Jones: very funny, definitely worth seeing, will be a great Christmas afternoon movie. La Nouba; perhaps not as well dressed a stage as the Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows and more of a series of set pieces than a story but the clowns were very funny, the trampoline and spring floor work was fantastic, especially the character in orange - the way they flew up the side of a 'building' and seemed to jump down rather than falling, and the whole piece reminded me of Allegria. The silk ribbon flying wasperb; the guy looked like an angel with scarlet wings, the full size version of the similar act in Zumanity, and the cohort of fliers walked and dressed like the flying horse riders in O. I love Cirque! Tip; the House of Blues is right next door so you can grab dinner beforehand.

Even Universal Studios was fun; we didn't do a single ride, just walked around and looked. The food was pretty good - we picked fried chicken and biscuits, clam chowder and ice cream. And the Blues Brother show was surprisingly good. Neither the sax player nor Mabel looked like the sax player or Arethra Franklin but Jake and Elwood looked right, could sing and arrived in the Bluesmobile... And you can't go wrong with Soul Man...

what's that you say? Teched? The IT Pro week was bigger and better than the device week.even Bob Muglia was A fired up and B informative. And I got a long list of feature ideas to tide me over the summer of minimum travelling.

And Friday night we got the hell out of Orlando and headed west, stopping only at a Steak and Shake, which is pretty good for fast food...

Next; Honeymoon island. Warning, contains rattlesnakes.
