Eureka

We've been watching Eureka (which had 'A town called' added to it for UK transmission, perhaps so no-one can mistake it for a Greek makeover show). It promises more in terms of arc that it's so far delivered and there's a tendency to push the reset button on the characters at the end of the hour, but it's addressing some nice SF tropes without falling into any of the classic blunders. The hand-waving is consistent within the universe, there has been only one deus ex machina and there's a nice treatment of the consequences of McGuffins like an EMP pulser that wipes short term memory, a drug that speeds you up and the after-effects of induced telepathy. Worth a look.
