Release date for Windows Vista?

I don't know more than anyone else but I do know that when Microsoft says second half of 2006 and Will Poole at MS says holiday 2006 it doesn't mean he's narrowing it down much. To Microsoft 'holiday' means 'on sale for the holiday season'; that's not on sale the day after Thanksgiving or the day before Christmas. It means 'in the shops around October so that people can buy it when they start thinking about shopping for presents'. It's the obvious time to bring out a new product and I'd be amazed if they didn't at lest try to make that timescale.
