Remember when they said we'd only need five computers, and none of them at home? Remember how the Internet was going to replace schools, and shops, and God? Remember how people spouted off all sorts of whacky theories during the dotCon dotBoom dotBust? Well they're all collected in the Imagining the Internet Predictions Database. The categories (community/culture to controversial issues) reflects the range of sense and nonsense that's been spouted. I particularly like "General, Overarching Remarks: Sweeping statements about the future of the Internet. No subtopics."

You can add your own predictions, enjoy 25 brief, biting predictions from the 90s or search the database. Any site where the experts disagree so violently can't be all wrong.
