revenge! revenge! (extra points for attribution!)

1) Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

if sbisson isn't going to go count them, I'm certainly not ;-) Eight or nine shelves of DVDs and videos.

2) Last film bought:

The Money Pit/The 39 Steps (Robert Donat)/The Italian Job (both versions) - spending spree!

3) Last film that I watched:

Cinema: "Ocean's 12"
DVD: "The Incredibles"
Sky TV: "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" (and five minutes of "Two Week's Notice" because my hands were too full to grab the remote and change channel!")
Airplane: "Ocean's 12/Pirates of the Caribbean"

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me, in no particular order:

Oscar - it's taken me *years* to persuade sbisson that he really does like this movie. It's full of slick comic timing ("it's too busy: there's something going on" CUT TO "it's too quiet: there's something going on!"). The Irish maid with the bag of french silk underwear, quickly mistaken for the bag of jewels and then the bag of cash. Sly Stallone telling Tim Curry that "most men spend their entire lives trying to get their hands on what's in this bag" when it turns out to be the underwear and not the money. Kirk Douglas as the dying father. The Fenucci Brothers: vicious killers or overworked tailors? Pure comedy.

Ocean's Eleven - the George Clooney version. I've seen the original and I like this version because it's full of twists and turns and I like a film where I can argue about who knew what when, not poke holes in the plot. There's hardly a line that doesn't have two meanings.

The Wedding Dress - an obscure romantic movie about all the people whose lives are affected by finding, losing, buying, selling, painting or repairing a wedding dress. Did you know that the actor who plays Malcom Reid in Enterprise is incredibly hot when he wants to be? Soppy and fun.

Ever After - Drew Barrimore in a version of Cinderella with Leornado da Vinci, believable ugly sisters and a prince who makes sense. And Richard O'Brien as a delightfully slimy villain.

The Blues Brothers - well, best musical ;-) And I'm happy to quote Shit/What/Rollers... ad infinitum (nauseam?). And I loved the way The Penguin showed up in Charlies Angels: Full Throttle. But I also love lot of movies: at the moment I want to watch Once Upon A Time in Mexico and Hollywood Homicide and Bon Voyage and Hitchikers and Oceans 12 and The Terminal and a couple more moviews three or four times each...

5) Pick on five people. Tag five people and have them put this on their journal.
I'm sure you've all done it and if you haven't you can consider yourself tagged if you want to ;-) oh, all right then, don't blame me.
