random business ideas #92

Vistaprint - where I get my business cards - also does magnets. I've been planning to use the magnetic sheets we bought from PC World to write a generic muffin recipe on so I can keep it on the fridge door, but wouldn't it be nice if my favourite recipe site had an option to sell me a fridge magnet version of a recipe I like: as well as the on-screen recipe they have a mini version of it and they pump that to an on-demand printing service that ships me the magnet. I'd like that more than a T shirt!

Nice one. Thanks for that. I actually like Vistaprint and use them for my business cards too. (Also streetcards.co.uk )

I have also been ripping out the magnetic door seal from old fridges so that I can make my own magnetic signs :-)

Over here, one can buy thin magnetic sheets that will go through an ink-jet printer. With that and a decent word processing program, it would be easy to print one's own magnetic cards from recipes found on line.

yes, those are the sheets we have and I can laser-print onto them. But I think there would be value in being able to get mini-magnet sized versions of recipes from web sites (or posters, or the day's cartoon or whatever)
